  • Job Description

    Lakewood Vehicle Licensing is currently in search of candidates for the position of Title Clerk to join our growing team.  Our office sees hundreds of customers each week, helping them with their licensing and titling needs for vehicles and vessels.  Every day is fast paced with high energy focused on helping customers and auto dealerships complete transactions per the guidelines and procedures of the Washington State Department of Licensing.  Registrations, tab renewals, title transfers (and more) - our Title Clerks are the experts that customers rely upon to help them with their needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrates a high-level of customer service skills consisting of: kindness, strong communication, empathy, ability to solve problems, and conflict resolution.

    • Maintain and organize title and registration documentation for Department of Licensing.

    • Examine sales/car deal contracts to assure conformity to specified requirements.

    • Verify all documents are signed and completed properly.

    • High proficiency using computers, software systems, and general office technology.

    • Ability to balance in-person and phone inquiries.

    • Assist in various clerical and administrative tasks to support office needs.

    Required Qualifications

    • Strong ability to be coached;

      Ability to read and comprehend instruction and information.

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills

      with a desire to help customers.

    • Reliable, with strong work-ethic.

    • High proficiency with general computing skills; ability to type well.

    • A quick learner with a high aptitude for complex transactions.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking skills.

    • Maintains a clean, business-casual appearance for enhanced customer experience.

    • Accuracy with money transactions.

    • Ability to pass a WSP Background check.

    Pay

    ·       Qualified candidates: From $18 per hour and up, DOE

    ·       Certified Title Clerks: from $20 per hour and up, DOE

    Schedule

    • Full-time: 8-hour daily shift (8:45a-6:15p w/breaks and lunch), Monday to Friday, Saturday half-day (rotating).

    • Part-time: Open to discussion.

    Benefits

    • Option for Full-time or Part-time.

    • 1-week PTO during 1st 365 days of employment, 2-weeks PTO thereafter

    • 1-hour accrued for every 40 hours worked, capping at 24-hours/year.
